Lauchernalp offers nice terrain for all levels of speedriding. Usually you will find locals riding here. The main field is the one left of the lifts. Start is just one turn down the slopes from the upper cabins. Sometimes you will have to cross the ski slopes, so get some altitude to do so. Right from the main lift are some nice cliffs to fly, though i don't like the lower part of this section too much (rather flat).
At the end of a good day its worth traversing left from the upper lift to get a nice runn down into Lötschental (1600m of altitude diff.). You will land one village (Kippel) down from the main gondola, but there is a bus driving you back up. The hike is 15-20mins, no alpine gear necessary. If you're too lazy to check this out, you can fly down the vally to the right from the first Gondola. Checkout the landing before you board the Gondola. You should either stop before the street or get some altitude to avoid the skibus ;-)
